This active adapter draws the necessary power from the DisplayPort connection. Being an active adapter, it is suited for use in an AMD® Eyefinity multi-monitor setup. It provides up to 5.4Gbps bandwidth over two lanes and supports the 1920x1080p resolutions and up to 1920x1200 maximum.
