Async RS232 to RS485 Interface Converter

Transmit data up to 115 kbps or at distances up to 1219 meters.
Operates in point to point or multipoint applications.
Operates in half-duplex over two wires.
Async (data leads) only.
Up to 32 RS485 devices can be attached to create a large multi-drop network.
The RS485 driver is automatically enabled during each spacing state on the RS232 side.
Works with or without transmit "echo."
The converter's RS-232 side has a DB9 female connector configured as DCE.
The converter's RS-485 side has either a terminal block or DB9 connector.
Interface powered.
