Double Data Rate 3(DDR3) SDRAM memory is a product built upon the foundation of the older DDR2 memory technology. DDR3 SDRAM memory has a higher performance at lower power requirement. DDR3 memory supports bus speeds from 400MHz to 1066MHz. DDR3 modules require only 1.5V as compaired to the 1.8V of DDR2, this lower power technology and larger prefetch buffer will increasing your memory bandwidth over the corresponding DDR2 SDRAM and produce less heat in the process.

DDR3 is the evolution of DDR memory technology. DDR3 memory features lower power consumption, higher data bandwidths, faster speeds and enhanced thermal performance.
