Stainless Steel Split Lock Washers are manufactured with a trapezoidal cross section that deflects under load and can be used with or without a Stainless Steel Flat Washer. They provide marginal resistance to vibration loosening and are ideal in applications where fasteners have a tendency to rotate or lose friction. Stainless Steel Split Lock Washers are forged from 18-8 stainless steel and are covered by the ASME B18.21.1 standard.
