They can be used in the same materials as the wedge anchor, but can also be used in soft concretes because the compression load can be distributed over a longer length. They can be installed through the fixture. Assemble nut and washer on stud and insert into predrilled hole. Anchor is hammered into hole until the nut is seated. -

They are manufactured from low carbon steel and can be used with lag shields in a variety of masonry applications, such as concrete, brick, and mortar. Lag Screws can also be used where standard wood screws are too short or small. In some applications, a pilot hole may be pre-drilled to prevent splitting or snapping.
